Current APK

So what we have now? What is our progress? Well, we have function app. You can download it on http://socdev.googlecode.com/files/SocDev.apk with login/passwd lubos/lubos. We have already function MVP - tasks management, messaging, project changing, secure login (although its not with google account) and repository listing. Of course with some nice features in GUI and also it looks quite good. Just try it and you will see! And our next plan? May we do some more improvments in GUI and our final presentation.

Working alpha

Great news! We have now working prototype of our app. It communicates with server and already has the most functionality. You can download socdev.apk on our project site in section downloads. User is "test" and we now dont check password so you can play with it.;)

Development

We are a little late with development so we didnt write any post on blog for a while. We started development and have already some functionality on server connected with something on tablets. I wrote something because now it is only really connected and that prototype almost do nothing.:) Well we know how should look UI and we have already some activities. Our MVP will be a little smaller than we thought but we should manage it in time.

HTA

Here is a document which contains promised HTA. The document also contains use-cases and their scenarios. All these structures are used to determine how users will work with the real application. We now have clen idea of socdev application and can create first prototype. The prototype will be created in the program balsamiq and will simulate future application. It will be used for user testing.

project developing started

So we finished HTA and we will post it soon. Also we started developing on appengine. For now just appengine because there will be main logic of our app. For now we are developing in python. Why python? Because its simmilar to django and we have lots experiences with django. Next plan is to start developing also on android and see how we can connect those two platforms. We expect it would we easy to use like most technologies from google. We will stay in touch.
Btw we werent on today lesson of VIA but we had good reason for that - we all had our promotion ceremony, so from now on we are all formal bachelors!

Tablets

All of our members already have tablets, actually i am writing this post from it. Its quite interresting device i can say. Now we have just wrote hello world on android and its reallly easy (when you finally setup your developing tools). Also we are now working on HTA (hierarchical task analyses) which should give us some direction what functions should be in MVP and how should look UI. Short time plan now consist of HTA and setup dev tools for google appengine.

Interview with users

We made some interviews with students who developed in teams. Our goals were proved - great news. Because we have this app also for another lecture we were able to write some documentation about interviews in doc. Although it is in czech, sorry for that, but as we said it is for another lecture.
